We provide content and community that helps prospective engineers bridge what they learn in school with the practices, skills and ways of being that make a successful professional engineer.
Supporting Organizations
We offer curricular and financial support to educational institutions and organizations whose primary goal is create the next generation of global problem solvers in the fields of engineering.
Student Benefits
The book Problem Solvers: The Paths to Becoming an Engineer details sixteen personal accounts of what it takes to become and engineer. Each of these unique journeys will provide the reader with inspiration and possibility in what it takes to become and engineering professional. These easily readable testimonies will impact many of its readers in multiple ways.
Derived from the experiences from the engineers, we compiled a series of themes across their stories that they reported were key to their success. The course Hidden Curriculum for Engineers highlights these topics and invites participants to go deeper in grasping them and incorporating them into their everyday practice.
No path towards a goal should be or can be done alone. The Be a Problem Solver Level-Up Community is a place where prospective engineers can communicate and collaborate with those on similar and different journeys with the chance to learn form each. Moreover, with access to provide mentors, no one who joins will feel like they are alone.

Provide Tangible Support for your Program's Mission
ABET makes it clear in what it means to be an effective program: "an ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives." These skills are one of many covered in the Hidden Curriculum, confirming your institutional commitment to quality programming.
Turbo Charge your Intro to Engineering Course
Many introduction to engineering courses are 1 credit courses that focus nominally on crucial professional skills, May of these courses don't focus on these qualities at all, but on content exclusively. Students need more to be connected with engineering. We can and must do better than this. The Hidden Curriculum course is compatible with any Learning Management System (LMS) and can be paired seamlessly with any other curriculum. Make your introduction to engineering course come alive by combining your best scientific content with curriculum that complements it, providing a fuller picture of what it means to be an engineer.
Receive Funds to Support your students and your Mission
Times are difficult. Resources are more scarce than ever. We recognize and hear you. In support of our collaborating organizations, those institutions who adopt the problems solvers package will receive a thirty percent commitment of funds from those who sign up through the organization as a result of your affiliate link. For example, an institution in the midwestern United States adopted the Problems Solvers Package for a little over 300 students at $75.00 per student for the year. The institution received unrestricted funds of over seven thousand dollars as a result, using those resources to continue to support their program. It is an honor to serve in this way.
